Our suppliers are encouraged to use good forestry practices and generally pursue programs that lead to some form of certification. For example, in Guyana, SA our suppliers are held accountable, by the Forestry Commission, to comply with their Code of Practice. The Guyana Code of Practice is very similar to FSC Guidelines. In addition, we do have suppliers that are FSC certified.
We, at KEYLON KURTZ, LLC, are committed to supporting good forestry practices. We support the Tropical Forest Foundation and their efforts around the world to promote Reduced Impact Logging and Chain of Custody training. Reduced impact Logging and Chain of Custody Training may lead to a level of certification.
